Understanding the Vagina

The vagina, being one of the most interesting and exciting organs on the female body, has always been of great interest for men.  Here we are going to touch on the external and internal anatomy of the vagina.

Externally

Most people think that vagina is the first thing that you see in the female genitalia, but it isn’t.  It is actually the vulva, which is usually covered by the pubic hair that first appears. Next is the fleshy lips known as Labia Majora.  It contains sweat and oil glands which emit a unique scent which is claimed to be sexually stimulating. The other set of inner lips is called Labia Minora that protect the clitoris, urethra and the vagina.

On top of the vagina, there is a small, oval shaped part called the clitoris (or clit). This clit is highly sensitive and when touched or stimulated, it brings endless sexual pleasure to any women.  Located just below is the urethra, an opening where the urine passes through.

Moving on is the vagina, with opening covered by a thin membrane known as the hymen.  The hymen is a symbol of virginity. It is extremely thin and sensitive, which can be easily torn by insertion of penis, vibrators, dildos, and etc.  Perineum, being the stretch of skins that extend to the anus, is where infants come out during labor.

Internally

The internal parts consist of the vaginal canal where the penis passes through during sexual intercourse and up to the cervix.  Upon accepting penetration, the vagina will expand and secrete fluids that act as lubricants to keep the vagina moist whenever sexually aroused.

Located deeper inside is the uterus (or womb) where fetus grows, with fallopian tubes connecting up to the ovaries.  Eggs that are produced by the ovaries are fertilized in the fallopian tubes.  Ovaries are also responsible for the production of estrogen and progesterone, or simply the female sex hormones.

Hence, with all the internal and external parts that make up the vagina, we see the importance of it contributing as the vital organ in female for reproduction and sexual enjoyment.
